Monday Night Technical Training Sessions
SBMC wants to help its players and coaches improve their technical ability. On Monday evenings beginning on September *, our Technical Director, Ajit Braich, will lead training sessions at the Byrne Creek High School Field. The expected schedule for these sessions is as follows (Please note there will NOT be sessions on Oct. 7th, 8th, 9th ):
Locations: Byrne Creek High School turf field.
U6 and U7 players (born 2012, 2011) : 6:00 pm to 6:40 pm (arrive 5:45 pm)
U8, U9 and U10 players (born 2010, 2009, 2008): 6:45 pm to 7:30 pm (arrive 6:30 pm)
U11 and U12 players (born 2007, 2006) : 7:35 to 8:35 pm (arrive 7:20 pm)
What Team Will My Child be on?
Teams will be formed following the September group sessions. While we try to accommodate as many requests for scheduling and team placement as possible (please let us know), we are subject to some restrictions i.e. registration numbers, gym and field availability and the need to balance teams.
What Do I need to bring?
SBMC is excited for the new soccer season. Please come prepared to share the Teamwork experience as your chlld learns new Soccer Skills. Please make sure your child has shorts, a comfy t-shirt, water bottle, soccer cleats and shin pads. SBMC will provide the rest (balls, shorts and jerseys). On September 9th, you may want to bring your appetite – (There is a strong rumour that one of our corporate sponsors, Ricky’s Restaurants, is considering supplying pancakes on that day!)
If you have gently used soccer cleats that your child has outgrown, we will have a bin available where you can leave them and where parents/players needing soccer cleats can pick them. This boot exchange kind of “just happens” but it is a chance for you to share the shoes your child has outgrown and maybe find a pair for this year.
Interested in Coaching?
We always need coaches and assistant coaches. Please consider Volunteering. While soccer experience will help, SBMC and our Technical Director will help you develop the skills and get the training so that you can contribute to the program and benefit from sharing in your child’s experience in team sports.
SBMC is a community-focussed service club operated and supported by its volunteers. In addition to coaching, YOU can help make our program by volunteering. Of course, we need coaches but we also need other volunteers to make our programs successful. YOU will not regret it- the connection to your community will be an enjoyable and beneficial experience for YOU and your Family. Please provide you name, contact information, availability and talents to our volunteer coordinator, Greg Greiner, who can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
New players. They can register online,or at one of our in-person registrations (see elsewhere on this website for details).
If you still have questions, you can forward a question through the “Support” tab on this website or email email@example.com
